Getting there

Tegudon Tourism Village is isolated – but there are plenty of transport options to get there, including from Kota Kinabalu, Kota Belud, Kundasang and Kinabalu Park.

From Kota Kinabalu – The budget option

The budget option for getting from Kota Kinabalu to Tegudon Tourism Village is to catch a minibus to Kota Belud, then arrange a lift to the park with them directly.

You can take a minibus from Bandaran Bus Terminal in Kota Kinabalu to Kota Belud for 10 MYR per person one-way. The journey will take around 2-hours.

Bandaran Bus Terminal is the bus station near Padang Merdeka in the centre of Kota Kinabalu.

If you contact the park before you travel, they will arrange for transport to pick you up when you arrive in Kota Belud. The team here charge 60 MYR for 1 – 2 people, and 80 MYR for 3 – 4 people.

This will be a private car and this cost includes a return trip to Kota Belud from the park the next day. This part of the journey will take 30-miuntes.

So, even if you are a solo traveller, you can get from Kota Kinabalu to this idyllic and remote place for 70 MYR. If you are travelling in a group of 2 or more, then this is an even more budget friendly option!

From Kota Kinabalu – The not so budget option

A different option, which is good if you are travelling with family, or have a slightly higher budget, is a private transfer from Kota Kinabalu. You will need to contact the team at Tegudon Tourism Village to arrange this in advance.

They will arrange for a driver to pick you up in Kota Kinabalu directly from your hostel or hotel. This journey will take around 2.5-hours.

For groups of up to 4 people, you will have a private car. The cost will be 150 MYR one-way, or 250 MYR return.

For groups of up to 12, you will use a van. The cost is 250 MYR one-way, and 350 MYR return.

From Kundasang or Kinabalu Park

This will again need to be arranged in advance with the team at the site. For groups of up to 4 people, you will have a private car.

The cost will be 150 MYR one-way form both places. From Kundasang, this will take 1.5-hours, and from Kinabalu Park the journey will take around 2-hours.
