1 – Visit the edible garden at Sandford Park
A hidden gem in this Cotswold market town filled with ponds, bridges, waterfalls, plenty of greenery – and an edible garden!
Take your time exploring the winding paths within this small slice of heaven. When you find the Edible garden, feel free to help yourself to some salad, or even veg if you’re lucky – just remember to leave some for everyone else!
2 – Check out some old aircraft at the Jet Age Museum
This museum will take you on a journey through the history of aviation in Gloucestershire – with plenty of pretty cool planes on display too!
The museum is staffed by a team of friendly volunteers who will be happy to give information on the items on displays and answer any questions you have.
3 – See some live music at The Ox Shed
The Ox Shed, located in the Cotswold Farm Park, has live music on Saturday evenings. Entry is totally free, and there is food and drink available – as well as some great views of the Cotswolds of course!
Performances run between 19:00PM and 21:00PM – check their website directly to see which artists will be performing on your next visit.
4 – Celebrate National Rubber Duck Day
Rubber duck racing, hook a duck, and a number of other quirky family friendly duck related events take place in Pittville Park on National Rubber Duck day.
National Rubber Duck day is on the 13th January and the event takes place between 11:00AM and 13:00PM on the closest Sunday to that date every year.
5 – Visit The Wilson Art Gallery and Museum
A permanent collection of international art work is on display at The Wilson in Cheltenham. There’s a shop on-site, and a cafe to grab a drink in once you’re done exploring.

Admission to The Wilson is free but it is closed on Mondays.
6 – Have a picnic at The Imperial Gardens
A great spot to relax on those hot summer days with a picnic. The Imperial garden is just behind Cheltenham town hall.
Every year, around 25,000 plants are used to produce the beautiful floral displays on offer.
During the summer, the gardens are home to a number of literature, science and jazz festivals.
7 – Check The Hare and the Minotaur statue
Locals and visitors either love it or hate it – you’ll have to decide for yourself! The statue is located outside of House of Fraser on The Promenade.
Made of scrap metal – the sculpture was created in 1995 by an artist from Gloucestershire and featured in a temporary exhibition at a nearby art gallery.
It was so popular at the time that it now sits proudly on the streets of Cheltenham for all to enjoy!
